99 Neighbors

I don’t see a lot of rap groups anymore and definitely none like 99 Neighbors. This crew started in Burlington, VT with Sam Paulino, Hank “HANKNATIVE” Colins, Connor “Swank” Stankevich and their producers Somba (Calen Hoh) and Juju (Julian “Juju” Segar-Reid) can’t forget their vocalist Aidan Ostby and Dj Jared Fier. I found them when their debut album Television came out and have been listening since. They have a lot of diversity when it comes to styles of music and sound types they can pull off. Television is a great example of that as they weave in and out of singing and rapping my favorites, you’ll find in their starter pack playlist. The most impressive thing about their debut album other than the music is that it was made independently. Their new Album Where Ever Your Going I Hope It’s Great is more of that style bending music they do so well with even better quality. They signed a deal with Nice Work under Warner Bros and have been able to put out their best work yet. They are on the rise and hopefully don’t stop; between their visuals, tours and music it’s clear they are taking it very seriously and have talent and money backing them. I remember watching the YouTube video of a big local concert they had in their hometown, the energy could be felt through the screen it was a sight to behold and a clear indicator that of what the future held for them. I know they are already pretty big, but they have potential a legendary group. I just hope to put you on to them along the way. The starter pack playlist I mentioned is in a link below.
