Punk Rap, Alt Rap, or Hip Hop; you can’t categorize this versatile duo. They have a unique style making them standouts for starting a new wave in Hip Hop. They do a great job of infusing rock influences without losing the slap that Hip Hop is famous for. They have a few songs where it just feels straight up alternative and those always end being the catchiest ones. The duo usually hits you with whacky and hilarious punchlines over grungy Hip Hop beats. Louie Pastel and Felix march to the beat of their own drum making it hard to pin down influences or really compare them to anyone. They make me want to bounce around the house playing the air guitar. Their music makes me feel confident, almost cocky. I think that infectious energy will help people understand what’s so great about their music. I really want to see them perform because I imagine they’d kill it. We review them in Episode 5 of our podcast so check out what the hosts think. I for one am a fan and can’t wait to hear new music and see new music videos.
