I had the privilege of seeing tophillfreddo live at the dmv fest. I can safely say from the time we were invited to the fest to when we got there, we bumped his music. The whole 4-hour trip there we were debating on tracks we wanted to hear him preform, and he didn’t disappoint. He did all of FAITH and asked the crowd what they wanted to hear and thankfully “Fragrance” (featuring BIGBABYGUCCI) was a fan favorite. His energy was ridiculous for the entire set, and I can’t wait to see his performance evolution. This isn’t about his performance though it’s about his music. His quality is that of a mainstream artist and with the help of FISH (who we are huge fans of) and his team he is a huge prospect to blow in the next few years. He uses autotune stylistically and doesn’t overdo it which is a common problem in hip hop. His flow is often melodic but always finds a time to spit some facts in each song. His beat selection, collaborators and work ethic indicate his trajectory. This man has music videos for half of his FAITH project. He travels the country making connections and preforming proving his seriousness. It seems like he is really giving it 110% and without sacrificing any quality. The underground is buzzing with his name, and we hear and see why. I love a lot of his music and can’t wait to see him develop as an artist because he hasn’t been doing this for very long.
