Aris Ray tells us he’s “unloading the choppa” this year and we are here for it. Aris Ray has a very interesting story and collaborators you may have heard of like $teve Cannon and Lil Xan but when they stepped on the gas, he took a step back. It was so confusing to hear his catalogue and see who he was coming up with and him not be an even bigger artist. This rapper’s talent is A-list and that goes for his subject matter as well. He can easily throw punchlines all song making you laugh or making you think. He speaks candidly about his experience as a black man holding nothing back. The honesty in his songs specifically in “Black” caught the ear of Pharell’s i am OTHER multimedia collective for their i am OTHER Vol 2 featuring 10 independent black artist one being Aris Ray. That song although amazing and powerful isn’t his only one. If you enjoy bars and flows that can run with the A-listers like TDE and Dreamville, Aris Ray is someone to keep your ear on.
