“BEFORE I WENT CRAZY” dropped October 28th and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. “Double Back” is the perfect name for the first song on this project because that is exactly what I had to do. I spun this front to back at least 5 times the first day and since then even more. My favorite song has changed at least 8 times. The production from Fish that shapes his sound had some variation in this project. The singles and “Way Up” slap from start to finish. My favorite of the three being “Way Up” has to do with the chemistry between him and Crash Go Crazy. Crash rolls right off Freddo’s chorus with a smooth flow in a low tone then goes Young Thug mid verse. Freddo’s verse and hooks pair so well with that performance setting up a steady vibe before introducing him. The theatrics of songs like “Double Back”, “Glory” and “I Changed” happen mainly in the intros. The swelling energy of these intros sets the stage for you to hear Freddo speak his mind and his delivery makes those bars stick. His song “disconnected+” is a perfect end to the project with a beat that puts the focus on his performance and loops to “Double Back” seamlessly. It leaves you wanting more of the hard-hitting bangers you heard in the first 7 songs before. This project structure is the future. It’s something you can put on that’s not too long and you know you’re going to love every track. I think this and Faith are a great blueprint for artist of all sizes. “BEFORE I WENT CRAZY” is setting the bar high for artist of his stature blowing most of his peers out of the water with its quality, production and Freddo’s performance. He is industry ready for certain.
