Channing put out his song “Big Bang” a couple weeks ago and quickly followed it up with a Millennials Repping Culture Exclusive Video. The song itself is filled with hilarious punchlines and witty bars. It looks like the line “Plenty of fish in the sea but you are the one that I reeled in” and the next few after inspired Christian Georges (the man behind the mask at M.R.C.) and Channing to take a boat out on the lake for some shots. The rest seemed to be captured in an office setting with a cat roaming around the desk, correlating to his lines about the how that “kitty be potent”. I loved the simplicity of the video with the crazy effects scattered throughout keeping it interesting. The best part by far is being able to see Channing’s personality and sense of humor shine through. This helps set it apart from your everyday music video which is a nod to the man who made it, Mr. C. He stamped his mark on this and left room for Channing to as well, the sign of a great director. The best music videos in my opinion are the ones you can see the people involved are having fun. It helps transfer that energy to the audience, and it was felt by me. Go check it out on M.R.C.’s channel or click below and don’t miss the next one.
