Johnny Billz from the 610 but more specifically Emmaus Pa and truly one of the best doing it out here. The versatility he displays crosses genres and languages, with songs like “Come Thru” he demonstrates that very well. He sings and raps in Spanish and English flawlessly on that track but showcases his lyrical ability better on “Revival” and “Pressure”. The direction his style could take is very hard to predict and may never land on solid two or three styles given how much of a variety he has out. He doesn’t have a lot of music released currently but while awaiting his first project listening to his catalogue gets me exciting and wondering where he will take it next. Our local scene doesn’t have many artists willing to be serious about their music and the ones who are usually take their talent to the bigger cities so it’s nice to see someone trying to put 610 on the map. I’m personally a fan of both his lyrical and melodic style, hoping he finds a perfect blend between the 2 in this coming project. It seems he chooses a style and kills it, but I feel I’ve yet to hear a style he leans into most. I know that comes with making and dropping more music, but I can’t wait to hear his signature twist as it develops. The potential is real with Billz and we hope you’ll help support him along his journey.
