The artist we cover are exclusively talented creatives and all have the Let Me Put Chu On’s stamp of approval. That means not only do we like their music, but we personally think as artists, businesses, and people they have a serious shot at success on a much bigger scale than they currently have (Their music deserves more ears on it). Kevin George is among the top of that list. He has quite a bit of success but for how long he’s been making quality music I’m so confused as to why more haven’t caught on. I know because of his excellent track record and consistency that it’s only a matter of time before he hits mainstream. The last 4 years Kevin George has put out music with quality higher than 95% of the underground. I appreciate the care put into his sound from day one with (from what I can see was) “High Like This” that premiered on World Star Hip Hop. The icing on top is the fact that he produces a lot of his own music which is always impressive. His music is more R&B/Pop with heavy Hip Hop influence, but he exhibits one of those 3 styles in different portions with each song. His beat selection is flawless, it’s hard to find a song in his catalog that you don’t vibe with. If you are lovesick, in love, sad or just want to dance check his music out. The word vibey is used way too much but his music is soothing and still slaps, to me that’s a vibe. I don’t have many complaints other than I would love to hear him collaborate with more artist just to hear the energy exchanged between him and another person. I can hear a love song between him and a great female singer like (SZA) that would be awesome. I loved “All in My Head” “OMG” and “Lovesick” ft Billy and “She Don’t Love Me” ft Gunna so more of that would be nice. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Kevin George this year.
(This is a little edit the end of the year because I wrote this in the beginning of 2022. This man is consistency. I wrote this before the Glory Road dropping singles and videos with them non-stop. I really don’t know what is taking the world so long to catch on.)
