Mikey Polo surprised me when we interviewed him. We learned what the word emo meant to him and how it differs from what most people think of it as. He also shared with us the new kinds of music he has been experimenting in and even showed us a song after the interview. He was at the First DMV fest as well and is a much more established artist than we are used to interviewing. We didn’t get to sit with him then but was happy to this time. Mikey Polo was very easy to talk to and gave us some great advice. We hope to see him at the next one.
