Redveil

This rapper has had a rapid come up in the last year, to the point where he is counted out of underground top 100 lists because his following has grown so much. I feel he’s in that middle space between huge star and underground. Let Me Put Chu On’s Focus is to showcase great music and artist with potential and Redveil fits those criteria perfectly. I pride myself on the ability to predict the trajectory of an artist based on their music. I started with him when he dropped Learn 2 Swim even though I’ve seen him all over the underground scene. I wished I would’ve listened sooner because the hype was real. This talented artist doesn’t just rap well but has a great ear for production and has made most of his own beats. He definitely has an old school Boom Bap vibe to him but like some of the others we’ve covered Redveil puts his own spin on the revival of this sound and style. He also has a great ear for other talent. He has worked with other underground artists in his lane that are coming up as well like Chris Patrick, Fly Anakin, Ovrkast and more. His ability to make amazing songs with his peers that he knows are going somewhere is a part of being an artist that’s overlooked a lot. His musical ability, creativity, curation, and dedication to his craft is all obvious in his work and there is no doubt why he is where he is today. I’m excited to one day speak with him hopefully in an interview because I have a lot of questions to ask him. Go check out his catalogue for yourself and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
